We are so proud

The AEF Junior Rangers were the pride of the Tahoe Basin and surrounding cities and towns in Northern Nevada/California Sierra Nevada. AEF Rangers also spearheaded projects in Southern and Central California.  Tens of thousands of native tree seedlings were planted combined with “Conservation through Participation” environmental educational projects. Let us not forget about the countless hours of hard work our kids committed too. The program was so popular that in expanded to a classroom program Nationwide.

The AEF Junior Rangers are true heroes, participating in important projects with the US Forest Service, National Parks (Santa Monica, CA), Nevada Division of Forestry and State Park, California Forestry and State Parks. AEF Junior Rangers have partnered with such organizations as, National Tree Trust, Keep Tahoe Blue, League to Save Lake Tahoe and many other outstanding organizations.

Jr. Rangers in action
Children compose 25% of our population and 100% of our future. When kids get out and provide stewardship of the lands in "their" community, they develop pride and respect for the environment while learning to work together to accomplish big tasks. We are proud of the opportunity the Junior Rangers program offers to build leadership and responsibility skills in a non-competitive, physically active setting.

Junior Rangers also have a chance to see themselves on TV when they are caught on film by AEF's
"R Environment" film crew! "R Environment" is an environmental education television show that is broadcast in California, Nevada, Arizona and broadcast via the Internet nationally and worldwide.

With thousands of children participating throughout the nation over the years we all have benefited from the hard work and dedication on these young people.
