What goes into planting a tree?
Trees planted for the 2009-2010 season (Jeffery Pine and Ponderosa Pine)
- working with federal, state or local agencies an area in need of reforestation is selected
- native trees from our grow-out nursery partners are prepared for planting
- a planting hole is prepared
- the tree is planted
- surface is cover with mulch
- tree-cone is added if needed to protect the young tree
- tree(s) are watered with a mix of special nutrients
